Study: Monsanto’s Roundup causes “gluten intolerance”

A recent study proposes that gluten intolerance and celiac disease are on the rise as a result of glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide.

The National Library of Medicine states that celiac disease “damages the lining of the small intestine and prevents it from absorbing parts of food that are important for staying healthy. The damage is due to a reaction to eating gluten, which is found in wheat, barley, rye, and possibly oats.”

The study authors, Anthony Samsel and Stephanie Seneff, have a different view. They point out that this rise in celiac disease parallels the increase in the use of Roundup, and the effects of glyphosate are those listed for celiac disease.

Celiac disease, and, more generally, gluten intolerance, is a growing problem worldwide, but especially in North America and Europe, where an estimated 5% of the population now suffers from it.

Symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, skin rashes, macrocytic anemia and depression.

It is a multifactorial disease associated with numerous nutritional deficiencies as well as reproductive issues and increased risk to thyroid disease, kidney failure, and cancer.

Here, we propose that glyphosate, the active ingredient in the herbicide, Roundup®, is the most important causal factor in this epidemic.

Fish exposed to glyphosate develop digestive problems that are reminiscent of celiac disease. Celiac disease is associated with imbalances in gut bacteria that can be fully explained by the known effects of glyphosate on gut bacteria.

Characteristics of celiac disease point to impairment in many cytochrome P450 enzymes, which are involved with detoxifying environmental toxins, activating vitamin D3, catabolizing vitamin A, and maintaining bile acid production and sulfate supplies to the gut.

Glyphosate is known to inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes. Deficiencies in iron, cobalt, molybdenum, copper, and other rare metals associated with celiac disease can be attributed to glyphosate’s strong ability to chelate these elements.

Deficiencies in tryptophan, tyrosine, methionine, and selenomethionine associated with celiac disease match glyphosate’s known depletion of these amino acids.

Celiac disease patients have an increased risk to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which has also been implicated in glyphosate exposure.

Reproductive issues associated with celiac disease, such as infertility, miscarriages, and birth defects, can also be explained by glyphosate.


The Matrix Revealed


Glyphosate residues in wheat and other crops are likely increasing recently due to the growing practice of crop desiccation [drying] just prior to the harvest. We argue that the practice of “ripening” sugar cane with glyphosate may explain the recent surge in kidney failure among agricultural workers in Central America. We conclude with a plea to governments to reconsider policies regarding the safety of glyphosate residues in foods.”

This study could change the way gluten intolerance and celiac disease are understood, and it adds to the growing body of evidence against Monsanto’s Roundup and those GMO crops which require Roundup as the herbicide of choice.

    I’m usually a painter not a writer but today I had an idea for a short story, maybe graphic novel? And I wrote the outline for it;

    A small, subterranean civilization is planned and established. A breeding population is allowed to propagate and once the children from it are old enough to be schooled, they are taught a false version of their history;

    They are taught how humans once lived on the surface but that life was very hard because of the deadly, poisonous sunlight that always had to be carefully avoided. In the past upon the hellish surface, early primitive humans had to scavenge for food only at night. Shade huts were erected and people had to live on the shaded sides of tall mountains or retreat to deep canyons in order to avoid contact with light from the awful, poisonous sun. Death by sunlight was an all too common occurrence and the population greatly suffered. Life was hard in those early sun-stalked days….that is until a heroic individual came along and had a genius, if not divinely inspired solution. He discovered (or some theologians from the underworld argue he was divinely led by Prime-creator) to a large chasm leading to the underground world. He led the grateful people under the Earth where they erected a marvelous blockade across the mouth of the chasm and ventured far away from this blockade, down into the depths of the Earth, where they built the current civilization, the supposed pinnacle achievement of the species. And this was taught as the real and only history and various types of evidence for this were forged, including ancient artistic renderings of both the evil sun and of the great blockade-which was far too dangerous to ever be approached by non-experts and they provided this evidence to the sub-surface populace.****(end of false history lesson)
    Once the children grew to adult age, they went to work in one of several underground mines and they mined a amber colored, goupy substance called “gile” which was supposedly taken by a class of expertly trained heroic class of individuals, up to the mouth of the chasm and smeared and painted upon the interior surface of the artificial blockade. Trouble was, because the poison sunlight was so potent, it constantly ate its way through and compromised the structural integrity of the artificial blockade and slowly eradicated the applied protective layers of gile so that more and more gile was needed to keep the blockade held in place and prevent the sunlight from eating all the way through and illuminating the underground world, filling it with poisonous deadly light and spelling the end of civilization as they knew it.

    Unbeknownst to the underground population, every month a child would be stolen from the group. An alternative explanation for the child’s disappearance was always fabricated by a P.R. team and given to the ignorant populace to fit their different reality perspectives, (and some religious members even claimed the evil sun who had been betrayed by humans was somehow supernaturally responsible for the abduction, perhaps sending a fallen-Demi god minion under ground to do the job and reclaim the sun’s rightful prize) but in actuality, this child was deliberately abducted by the initiated, ruling architects of the underground world. He/she would actually be taken down a long corridor, into a dark room and chained to a slab. From the darkness, a giant dragon-like creature would emerge and eat the child while the underground rulers watched in sadistic delight. You see, this creature strongly preferred to only eat humans with flesh that had never been exposed to sunlight. It could eat normal, sun touched children, and did so in the past, but “virgin” children, untouched by the sun, was its absolute preference and it loved the taste and power it derived from eating such a child that one per month was all it needed. In the past it would need to dine ten times as often since “tan” children were the only thing on the menu. In return for the daily offering, this monster would no longer venture to the surface world and wreak havoc-stealing and eating the less than savory, sun-touched children of the privileged populous who still dwelt there, thriving and unaware of the horrors that went on underneath their feet, freely benefitting from the perks of their new technology-technology that was activated and fueled by an amber-colored, goupy substance called gile that always seemed to be in great abundance, as if it was somehow perpetually generated out of thin-air.

    Most genetically modified foods have two genetic modification, the insertion of the gene from bacillus thuringiensis that makes the bt-toxin that puts holes in your stomach and gut, and the modification to be RoundUp Ready. Both the br-toxin and glyphosate degrade the intestine. “Gut stuff” can leak through the holes to cause an allergic reaction to the inflamed body.

    Because glyphosate locks up chrome that needed to activate insulin, high blood sugar [type 2 diabetes] also degrades to the body. Because glyphosate locks up cobalt, there is a shortage of vitamin B-12 that is a cobalt centered molecule. This interferes with the ability of the body to repair itself. And of course the lack of magnesium and zinc [being locked up with the glyphosate] degrades the immune system.

    Now the FDA has approved a fourth toxin to be sprayed on crops called 2,4-D which is a main ingredient in Agent Orange. None of these poisons are allowed in the White House or in the congressional cafeteria. But it seems that they are trying to destroy the rest of us.

      A correlation has been found between GM foods and Celiac disease. But correlation does not prove causality. Many GM foods that are RoundUp Ready have also been modified to contain the gene from Bacillus Thuringiensis that makes the Bt-toxin that can put holes in your stomach and gut. I find it easier to believe that holes in the small gut that is Celiac to be caused by the Bt-toxin.

        The chemicals are found in wheat enriched foods and the docto’s only choice to cover up Monsanto is to tell the patients they’re allergic to wheat, when in realty unmodified wheat only contains 2% gluten, not 97%

  21. Very interesting. When I developed “celiac sprue” the A.M.A. Home Medical Encyclopedia said the incidence of this condition was something like 1 out of 10,000 people *almost only* in certain Irish families *almost always* after age 50. (I was 30.) I’m related to one of those families all right; come from a long female line of ancestors who died or became disabled in their thirties. In Ireland the explanation used to be that an ancestor had inadvertently walked on the grave of someone who either was hanged, or had died of starvation, depending on who was explaining. But why was I the one to get “sprue,” even though my getting it helped me help my surviving relatives…and why are so many young people who aren’t even Irish showing similar symptoms?
