If Trump means well, cares enough, is smart enough

Trump has won over many voters on the issue of Globalism—and specifically on the loss of American jobs as ruthless corporations move overseas. His opposition to job killing treaties like NAFTA and the upcoming TPP is strong.

If he’s being real, if he really intends to do something about it, if he’s smart enough to make a difference, against great odds, I have a suggestion for him.

In nutshell, he should come out publicly and say this:

“You know, there was one other candidate in this campaign who was powerfully opposed to the destruction Globalism has brought us, and he’s off the scene right now. He had quite a following. His name is Bernie Sanders. He and I disagree on many fundamentals, but on this issue, we see eye to eye on major points. So I’m asking Bernie to join with me, if I win this election, and plan how we’re going to turn this killer called Globalism around. I want his intelligence and input. You might remember another popular past candidate who opposes Globalism. The media gave him a raw deal. His name is Ron Paul. I need his help, too. He’s very, very smart and well-intentioned. And to round out my wish list, I’d like to have yet another past Presidential candidate on board, a man who has stood up for his principles for longer than some of us had any principles. His name is Ralph Nader. Again, he and I would disagree on many fundamentals, but on the issue of Globalism, we share much common ground. With these people, I would prove to you doubters that I’m very serious about bringing back jobs to America and cutting the horrible drain created by these trade treaties. I say to these three men, love me, hate me, I don’t care. If you want to put an end to the monster called Globalism, help me…”

If Trump is smart enough and cares enough, this is what he should do.

Well said Jon. There’s nothing I can add. Simple truth, clearly stated says it all.

  3. Oliver K. Manuel says:

That is excellent advice and I endorse it. We have tyrannical globalism. That must end.

have you lost your mind? putting trust in this guy? with his history? there is no choice this election cycle, no different than the previous, all by design

I love this concept and agree totally. The only flaw is Bernie, who is nothing more than a bought and paid for shill. I don’t believe Bernie is a pathological criminal as Hillary is, but a liar – absolutely. The proof is in how quickly and easily he rolled over to support Hillary and buy his new house with payoff proceeds. If Bernie ever meant one thing he campaigned on, he couldn’t possibly support war mongering, big bankster buddy Hill Hag. Not possible. Bernie’s just another political weasel. Still a great idea though. About three weeks or so ago, I actually wrote Trump an email suggesting exactly this same strategy with emphasis on the Ron Paul followers.

I concur, and have said the same. Bern needs to publicly denounce the Red Witch and join the Mad Hatter.

  9. Michael Badeau says:

Well said Jon! I would have added Rand Paul simply because I worked with him on trying to shoot it down in the Senate by emailing many times to many different Senators with fair response. Then a group of us phoned more again with fair response. In the end one that was on our team through his vote to the other side out of the blue and it passed.

I worked now for several years on educating to folks that this will cost American’s our Constitution while it puts big business in charge through their corporate lawyers! I have learned along the way that when you are up against the trillions in gold the Illuminati (Rothschild’s, Morgans, Rockefeller’s, Soros and others) have then you deal with their cabal boughten along the way. Hard to deal woith Satan that has more money then all countries put together and the power to blackmail even good folks to get what they want. The key is as you put it here…..we must STAND together with something better, Jesus…..mike

Like a hollywood movie about imperial rome and the passion of the christ trump is not going to make friends with potential allies but be scourged and go to the cross while nerobama and empress hillaria turn thumbs down. Of course rumors that trump’s truth like john brown goes marching on but such movies fail to mention that the christians were not validated rather persecuted by the empire. AreTrump supporters up to overthowing the evil empire or more likely to wind up like the army of spartacus at best. The Trumpians are fools not to see Trump being crucified

  14. Common Sense says:

Has the master of logic lost his mind? It would appear so. Trump is a globalist, he just wants everyone else outta the way so he rules the world. Make no mistake, the ego of trump is too big to be satisfied with just Amurica. Very strange to see Jon missing the mark by such a wide margin and advocating for a man with no love, caring, or imagination.

When I see people support Trump it always makes me wonder, so is that person also so devoid of love for themselves that they are willing to accept racism, theft, sexual predation, compulsive deceit , bullying, and constant pandering to the ego of self in a leader? Donald Trump will be the fitting end the United States of America deserves.

i agree with you on this, cs. trump is no less a sleazy low-life eff than clinton or any other fake candidate.
but he is what the american (and world) ego has
created. he does embody what is important and
attractive to the ‘voting’ public at this time. hollywood.
the government is just a reflection of the populace
majority. that would explain his perverse popularity.
thus it demonstrates the level of consciousness of
      the populace.

i do not know what jon is playing at. the level of
“election” distraction/porn has been high on this blog.
after reading the disturbingly manipulative post “sexual behavior of trump, bill, hillary takes over presidential campaign” i found i could not complete the next one “rise of the deplorables”. jon’s words became empty and meaningless to me. hypocritical and agenda-driven. if you don’t like obama it’s because you’re a
racist. if you don’t like trump it’s because your mind
is in the gutter, if you don’t like clinton it’s because you’re a misogynist. all very old and very tired ploys.

i read only the comments now. they are more important than the articles. i have noticed a general subtle shift
somewhat deflating. the focus on one or two particular
trump red herrings like kinda anti-globalist insures that statements such as eminent domain “is a beautiful thing”, and “would not outlaw partial birth abortion” – a handy euphemism for infanticide, remain invisible. regardless of whether or not he could ever outlaw anything, his words indicate a disturbing disregard for home and family.

too many false premises here to take other
articles seriously. such as – the “president” makes decisions. once you start believing that, the rest of the
      brainwashing is easy.

with all of my being i look forward to a world based on voluntaryism.

Of course since Mr. Trump only talks of cutting environmental regulation and believes global warming is a Hoax the following will not matter to him.
Interestingly both of the globalist Al Gore and Hillary at a Florida rally mentioned mosquitoes in relation to warming temperatures as a vector for disease movement. Not surprising they failed to mention ballast water of foreign ships as a known vector to move mosquito larvae, bacteria and water borne temperature activated virus from polluted waters of countries such as Brazil. They did not mention this despite the fact fossil fuels and foreign goods produced in countries with little to no environmental standards are moved by ships creating a huge release of carbon. It is deplorable not to mention this when touting a policy to reduce American emissions knowing supporting a policy for more economic globalism will increase foreign ships polluting our waters and air. Foreign manufactured Products are produced globally where cost are lowest and when transportation cost to the market place do not adversely prevent offering a lower price to consumers than domestic product.
Quick, Strong ballast water regulation would create large cost to mainly foreign goods. This information has been provided in reports to congress, and copies have been sent to no-avail to Mr. Trump.
Sanders supporters cared about more issues besides trade treaties and believe it or not some republicans even care about the environment.

    Re: Bernie + “payoff” money
This is a false rumor. Bernie’s wife Jane owned a home in Maine
via inheritance for several years. They rarely got to visit due to distance
so they decided to exchange it for a home in Vermont instead.
