Why medically caused deaths continue to be ignored

More than any other reporter, I have continued to champion and spread the word about Dr. Barbara Starfield’s revelation: The US medical system kills 106,000 people a year with its medicines. Extrapolate that number for a decade: more than MILLION DEATHS.

I have reported, many times, on Starfield’s review, “Is US Health Really the Best in the World,” published in the Journal of the American Medical Association on July 26, 2000. I interviewed her in 2009, when she told me that her death numbers (106,000 per year) were conservative, and that the federal government was doing NOTHING comprehensive to fix the ongoing disaster. Imagine that, coming from a doctor who was a revered public health expert at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

Since I’ve written more articles about Dr. Starfield’s revelations than any reporter around, I also know the reaction of the mainstream press over the years: SILENCE. And more silence. And more.

So this time, I thought I’d explain the main reasons for the silence.

On one obvious level, it stems from the fact that the pharmaceutical industry buys enormous amounts of ads on and around news media. Do not bite the hand that feeds you.

And of course, blaming the medical system for a million deaths per decade…well, if you’re the New York Times and you’re making this into a take-no-prisoners ongoing building story, you’re going to incur considerable heat. Blowtorch heat.

Then there is this: nowhere in the medical literature is there any evidence, based on published studies of drugs, that these substances do such catastrophic damage. In fact, the studies and reports of clinical drug trials are largely glowing. Only one conclusion can be reached: the medical literature is rife with fraud from top to bottom. This fact would immediately throw the reputations of the most prestigious medical journals in the world into garbage landfills.

Indeed, we have, on the record, an editor of one of these publications broadly confessing to a mind-boggling reality: Dr. Marcia Angell, editor of The New England Journal of Medicine for 20 years, has written:

“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.” (NY Review of Books, January 15, 2009, “Drug Companies & Doctors: A Story of Corruption”)

Next: if the press dug deep into the guts of the Starfield story, the FDA, which must approve all medical drugs before they are released for public use, would go down with a blinding crash. No one would be able to defend the Agency. Its profound criminal alliance with Pharma would come full force to the surface.

Multiple medical schools would come under the gun for their relationships with Pharma, and their basic practice of teaching monopolistic drug medicine and not nutritional medicine. These schools pretend “the evidence of safety and efficacy” for drugs is wide-ranging and invariably clear. Therefore, they, the schools, are abetting what amounts to a capital crime.

And what of the basic Hippocratic oath to “first do no harm”? Where is that vaunted pledge that tries to establish the practice of medicine as supremely ethical?

As you can see, a whole long line of dominos would fall, if the Starfield story were pursued, by the mainstream, with time, energy, money, and passion for the truth. (Starfield is not the only citation on medically caused deaths. I have documented others in the past.)

Finally, we arrive at a psychological and even philosophical reason for press silence on this ongoing holocaust: for millions of people, the institution of medicine is a foundational pillar of Reality in the world. Attachment to it is, in a way, mythological. Loyalty to the medical system runs the gamut from hope for raw physical survival to spiritual sustenance. Creating doubt, widespread doubt, about such a powerful building block of Existence—that would be tinkering with the very structure of things, “meddling with the primal forces of nature.”

But here, on these pages, I’ll meddle with anything I want to. If you can’t handle that, so be it. If I want to make a true fact into a sledgehammer and use it over and over, I will. And on this issue of medical caused deaths, I’d be crazy not to.

    Nice Job Jon!

  2. Jacqueline Worthington says:

I came close to death after five months in a Canadian hospital. Since the advent of antibiotics sterile technique is not addressed properly.

  3. Sue says:

I know the figures are even much higher than that. Ever since the pharmaceutical empire invaded our court system, throwing out due process and replacing it with their own “Vaccine Court,” run by their own paid “experts” (absolving themselves and all their cohorts of all liability), the taxpayers have paid out nearly FOUR BILLION dollars for deaths and damages caused by vaccinations.

In addition to that bit of news, I found this statement from the Department of Health and Human Services – “Adverse events from vaccines are common but underreported, with LESS THAN ONE PERCENT REPORTED..” So, four billion dollars for under 1% reported.

AND, add to that the fact they are referring to the somewhat immediate and violent reactions, not the long term reactions, like cancer, auto-immune diseases, and so on, we are really talking about massive numbers that are not being accounted for.

My family is among those impacted (death, health problems, autism) and, thanks to having intensively researched the subject, I’m not in the dark about it, unlike many others.

An interesting experience, some 5 years ago “they” assumed that I have had a heart attack. Winding up in hospital it turned out (after a week) that nothing of the sort happened. In that time they injected me with all manor of poison’s and when I left the hospital I was on so much medication it would have killed an elephant (My GP’s words). So, I stopped all medicine immediately, to the horror of my GP, and low and behold I am still alive and don’t use any medicine at all! How many people would still be alive if they had listened to their gut feeling. Believe in yourself not the so-called “experts”, ’cause they wouldn’t know if their ass was on fire.

  5. truth1 says:

The thing is, the many deaths cause by hospitals/medicine, are NOT accidental. Hospitals are death camps, thinly disguised. They lie, cheat, steal, defraud and then kill. They are in it for money and Eugenics. they are devil worshipers and they know it!

    • sundancer55 says:

So are nursing homes. My Mom would still be alive if someone, anyone, had just bothered to read her chart before giving her a medicine she had already had adverse reactions to, which ended up with her being in the ER (in the town where I live) twice. Also, they called me and I told them to get her off the stuff ASAP but the nurse claimed she couldn’t do that without the consent of the doctor, who was not on the premises. Mom died within 24 hours. My family really should have sued someone.

      • truth1 says:

They have an excuse for delaying enough to knock someone off. I was told by practitioners of the VA that my father’s blood sugar staying between 250 or more was just fine. They did not want to have to pay his pension anymore. My father easily capable of coming down to 100 or less. I would show them what the American diabetes Association said. It means nothing to them, when they want to kill someone. Just telling the truth. You don’t have to lie to find the truth. Nobody should fight wars anymore. the the VA send the doctors and nurses to fight.

It is amazing, Jon, how you strip away the whitewash, making plain that the foundations of our “reality” are fraudulently contrived. And how the fraud is propped up and preserved, not only by the perpetrators, but by the victims as well.
There is so much waking up to do. Keep sounding the alarm!
How many times can we keep hitting snooze?

  7. John says:

What they won’t tell you is that a fair amount of diseases are caused by fungus, mold, bad bacteria and parasites. Also, heavy metals, like “silver” filling in the mouth. You could also say chemicals in our foods too.
They could use Rife frequencies to kill viruses and use the cell towers to do it, thus, they don’t need vaccines. Using magnetic fields will heal bones in a week or two.

There are a lot of healing methods, some from other cultures that work and yet, medical doctors are threatened with losing their hard earned medical license or even jail time, like what happened to Royal Rife and the people he was working with.

The Rockefellers started the pharmaceutical industry by selling motor oil mixed with a laxative as a cancer cure in the late 1800’s and sold it for $25, which was 2 months pay at the time. They also created the chemical farming industry, where only chemical nitrogen, phosphors and potassium are used and no trace minerals or vitamins. This weakens the body and creates an inferior DNA and thus weakens each newer generation after generation.

Just look at how children more and more look less like male or female.
    Just look at these videos.

    https://www.youtube.com /watch?v=OvQ5F6GCfgI

    https://www.youtube.com /watch?v=XPCOGSnjP5w

Now, with the Internet, we can now learn how to take care of ourselves.
I’m blown away at how many ways there are to heal a disease.

Why don’t they take about super foods? Because healthy people rarely see doctors and they would be out of business.

The other problem is that too many single women are having children (cash-cows) and having the Government supply them with a 2 bedroom apartment. They need to be put in a SRO (Single Room Occupancy) because if they are going to be so primitive, they need a “hut” to live in and that is exactly what a SRO is.

Too many of these women are using men to do this and then either throwing them to the side or divorcing them, taking the children and putting the men in poverty and not really caring.

This also causes the cost of living to go up for all. Why? Because when the Government pays the rent, the supply goes down and the demand goes up, thus raising the cost of property because of supply and demand.

So, if we want people to live longer, we need to slow down the birth rate, especially for people that can’t afford to have children, who tend to make the worst parents. People that have an investment in their children because they wanted them tend to be better parents.

Another reason I’m still on Fakebook…
I’ve been reading Jon’s articles for years and over the last intervening years, ever since Farceboob joined the ranks of “virtual bookburners” by banning the realities of truth, I’ve taken it upon myself, a mantra of sorts styled after Don Quixote’s tilting at windmills. Somehow, or someway, I’ve managed to get the banned words of good folk like Jon and others their important messages to the people.

I’m just a messenger. Sometimes a message might be up for a New York minute – oftentimes not. (I do follow ups and reboots). But I will stay the course… Just point me towards the windmill.

Yet more evidence pointing to the lies of western “exceptionalism” and “freedom”, like destroying nations who refuse the kosher central banks, provide (decent) healthcare to their citizens as well as education and assistance with housing – Yep, those “evil” nations this sty crushes for “human rights” violations.

In my experience, trying to explain “the truth” to people makes them uncomfortable. First, you’re asking them to think for themselves and second you’re asking them to take control of their lives, be responsible for the consequences.
Living in a matrix-disney-land reality, they have been assured that they can just sit back, relax, all the answers and solutions are forth coming. You will be taken care of and your retirement is set. Just entertain yourself and laugh with everyone else as the merry-go-round continues along.
As I’ve tried to calmly explain reality to people over the years, I’ve been told that I frighten them or that I make their head hurt.
The majority really aren’t hungry for the truth, never have been, never will be.
There are a few people with a hunger for knowledge and truth, and they are worth the time, but they are few and far between.

    • truth1 says:

Well said! I think their fear reactions jump high and the only way they can bring those fears down, it to go into denial and ignore it all. I think mos that see and realize, do so because of good parents, good at least in the early years, and were developed intellectually by on parent or the other. In my own case, my father was mildly retarded and tricked and used by many. so he spoke bad of everything, and justly so in his case. And for whatever the reason, I could separate the legitimate gripes from the not so legitimate.

If you are confronted by terrifying things when young, your got mom and dad to help your hand and calm and sooth you ( too many don’t have that) so that you can face the fear and overcome and adapt. It not bolstered and supported, then everything will be too terrifying to ever admit. Mind you, this is just a theory. I am sure there is more than one way that terror gets put in its place.

I recall Paul in the bible saying that of all things, love is the most important. It was just a couple or 3 ago that an FB Forum reported 2 girls and their grandparents were burned to death in a fire that had blocked off all exits to water or escape. the 4 of them were holding tight to each other as they were overcome by fire and found in that way. Its a very sad thing to hear. Their best way to face it, was the only way to face it, in that situation. Surely, the world could do with a lot more love as the solution to fear and cowardice. But first, hell would have to freeze over and the weather reports have not been encouraging.

  11. Just look at their tv ads; happy healthy people supposedly on these ridiculously named drugs while the narrator is listing off the devastating possible side effects. “You’re not one of those fussy, unlucky people though,” is the message. “You’re a winner, go get some of this great med and show the world you’re one of the wise and lucky people.” People are swayed by such garbage, going by the continued massive wealth of the pharm industry, and those people often become more statistics in the colossal number of iatrogenic deaths.

    • PS: After all, all those drugs, etc., have passed the animal studies, and who can argue with that? Other than anybody with a conscience and a brain.

      • sundancer55 says:

All of those drug ads are geared towards an elderly audience because they’re the only ones who don’t mute the tv when those stupid ads are played.

Cracks me up how the ads I end up having to listen to when I’m away from the remote and can’t mute the crap, always say “don’t take xarelto (for instance) if you’re allergic to xarelto or any of its ingredients”…..well, unless you actually take the xarelto, how would you KNOW that??! It’s just ridiculous. And at the end of the commericial they always say “ask your doctor about” yada yada – because they know every single old person out there watching will do just that.

One thing they don’t get into is that a side effect and an adverse reaction are two different things. A side effect can also be whatever (possible) benefit you might get from a drug. Remember when antibiotics actually used to help a few people with serious infections? Well, no more, because of the overuse of them for every little thing. But an adverse effect is always a bad effect, and they don’t talk about that on tv. Oh no! Can’t do that. But few doctors ever report the adverse effects their patients tell them about, and the patient usually doesn’t want to take on the task themselves because it’s complicated. The drug companies, of course, are the ones who made it complicated.

The people are in a losing position here, and it’s a problem that’s only going to get worse.

  12. Tony says:

Always good to have a reminder! I know I’ve posted this before, but I recommend taking a look at John Ioannidis, Professor of Medicine and of Health Research and Policy at Stanford:

—”We think of the scientific process as being objective, rigorous, and even ruthless in separating out what is true from what we merely wish to be true, but in fact it’s easy to manipulate results, even unintentionally or unconsciously. “At every step in the process, there is room to distort results, a way to make a stronger claim or to select what is going to be concluded.”

—”80 percent of non-randomized studies (by far the most common type) turn out to be wrong, as do 25 percent of supposedly gold-standard randomized trials, and as much as 10 percent of the platinum-standard large randomized trials.”

  13. John Dunlap says:

There’s another reason the media doesn’t pursue this, and a dozen other issues. A couple of people have already touched on it. Their audience doesn’t want to know. The Herd ( my pet name for the majority of people) does not want to know. MSM or no MSM, it’s a simple matter today to see the truth. It’s easy to trace the Rockefeller empire, easy to understand that Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Amazon and their ilk dominate their sectors for no reason other than the Washington/Silicon Valley/Langley good ol’ boy network, easy to discover that it wasn’t Trump that Putin was colluding with, easy to see that the CFR and Agenda 21 are real (they have their own websites!). It just takes ten minutes with your favorite search engine. They don’t want to know. And they vote.

    • truth1 says:

      J. D, I just have to tell you how much I liked and appreciated you deep insight evident in your comment. The biggest problem, by far, is cowardice and timidity. Perhaps much of it could be traced back to parents not giving enough attention/affection to infants in the pre-language years, up to 5, to calm the young and give them the feeling of support and protection that allows them to face the world with less fear and more confidence. A lack in infancy, will be a lack forever, in all likelihood. The consequence is that we run from dreadful truths and seal our own doom. I would can that a bad strategy. But what do I know? Thank you for your time posting!

  14. Much as I agree with the article and the comments above, I would like to add that the situation is more complex than anyone here has recognized. The medical literature is beginning to report that medical error and over-medication is a significant cause of death. We also have the mix of prescription, over-the-counter, illegal drugs and alcohol. Americans are sadly under-educated about the medicines they take. Sometimes, they don’t even know the names, dosages, or intervals the prescriptions call for. And they don’t want to know. They take them when they ‘feel they need them.”

Also, many people believe that if one pill doesn’t produce the desired effect, a second one will. Then there are all the different doctors prescribing different medications and changing prescriptions at each visit. Many don’t know what other doctors have prescribed, and patients don’t know to tell them. I guarantee many of the deaths are due to over-medication or drug interactions. It’s not unusual, especially in the VA, to encounter veterans who are on between ten to twenty different medications and refuse to consider reducing any of them. They have an ever-shifting set of different doctors with no one in charge of their long-term care.

The pharmaceutical and insurance companies, and the government, all contribute to this medical over-kill. Pre-paid medical care, as with insurance or the government, leads people to believe more medicine is better medicine, so they expect and demand the latest and most expensive, which is presumed to be the best.

It takes a lot of time for doctors to educate their patients about the risks and benefits of their medicines, and many don’t care to know. They just assume the doctors knows their bodies better than they do, and wouldn’t prescribe something that would do more harm than good. They don’t realize that doctors are not mind-readers or fortune-tellers, and they don’t have x-ray vision.

The TV ads help perpetuate and spread the fantasy that there’s a pill (or will be soon) for everything. Direct-to-consumer advertising for medications was approved by the FDA around 1997, I believe, and that’s now where much of “pharmaceutical research” money goes.

      • truth1,
        Could you elaborate?

        • truth1 says:

I sure will. Drugs are not the answer to anything but death. We need to stop drugs altogether. Nutrition (supplements, diet) and lifestyle are the real solutions, as well as electronic devices such as magnetic pulsars and Multiple wave oscilators first made by Lahovsky, with the help of Nikola Tesla. Complexity? Its not complex. the medical establishment wants us all dead. Its pretty simple, actually. did that help?

          • Sue says:

Absolutely, truth1. Drugs attack and do damage while suppressing symptoms. People have been TAUGHT (i.e. brainwashed) into believing they are the answer to everything – the ‘magic bullet.’ And, the first crucial step in getting people to board that health-destroying merry-go-round is vaccinations, which is why those shots are the medical mafia’a sacred cow, pushed to be mandated (forced). They ensure repeat business; more “tests,” more drugs, and more hospitalizations added to the docket.

            • truth1 says:

Thank you for your support Sue. sometimes a persons support is in it self a refutation of those who promote drugs, which about the same as promoting death in my book.

          • Thanks for the reply. I wasn’t addressing how things should be. I was referring to how things are. I’m no fan of pharma, as my wordpress blog, “Drugs, Drugs, and More Drugs” explains. I would contend the medical establishment does not want to annihilate its market but keep it hanging on, and to keep expanding it, as long as possible.
